The Kendal Peace Pole arrived on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The pole is a four-sided cedar post with the words MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH engraved in the six official United Nations languages; English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian and Chinese plus Mohawk and Hindi, along with a Braille plaque. Peace Poles are the result of the Peace Pole Project, a global movement begun in Japan after World War II. Visit Project's web site for more information and to see a searchable map showing the location various Poles. The Kendal Peace Pole is one of at least 200,000 poles that have been planted on every continent. When weather permits it will be installed permanently near the Sit and Chat area near the Heiser Community Center entrance. It was made by Peace Pole Makers, U.S.A.
